INCIDENT REPORT PUBLISHED 24/06/2021. INCIDENT RAISED: 18/06/2021 12:54. INCIDENT CONFIRMED AS MITIGATED: By 18/06/2021 18:00. SERVICE: Some BT Wholesale and Colt Ethernet circuits. PEAK IMPACT: Loss of Service. CONTINUOUS/INTERMITTENT (AT PEAK): Continuous. PEAK PRIORITY: P1 (High Priority). DOMAIN: Spitfire Internal. COMMONALITY: Some BT Wholesale and Colt Ethernet circuits. REPORT: On Friday 18th June 1250 the Spitfire NOC (Network Operations Centre) was alerted to a fault with one of our edge routers that aggregates customer Ethernet circuits from wholesale providers. An IP engineer was dispatched to the datacentre (Telehouse North) to investigate. At 13:18 the router again become reachable remotely and another IP engineer diagnosed an intermittently failing line card. Once we had an engineer on site the faulty line card was replaced with an on-site spare. This did not fix the fault and the entire router and cards had to be replaced with an on-site spare. The working configuration was restored to the replacement router and the Ethernet services brought back into service at 1650. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: Not applicable. PERFORMANCE: We regret that, in line with our Service Level Agreement, no Service Credits are available.
